Legal Requirements
Lifting equipment inspection is not optional in the UAE. Here's what you need to know.
Mandatory Annual Inspection
All lifting equipment used in factories, construction sites, hotels, and workplaces must be tested and certified by a third-party accredited body once every 12 months as per UAE federal law.
EIAC/ENAS Accreditation Required
Inspections must be performed by a body accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) or the Emirates National Accreditation System (ENAS) to be legally valid.
Detailed Records Required
Employers must maintain detailed records of all inspections, certifications, and maintenance activities. These records must be available for review by UAE authorities at any time.
