UAE Regulations
Legal Requirements
Electrical Inspection inspection is not optional in the UAE. Here's what you need to know.
Annual DEWA Compliance Required
All electrical installations in UAE must be periodically inspected and certified by a DEWA-approved testing body to maintain supply and comply with UAE electrical regulations — non-compliance may result in disconnection.
Civil Defence Certification
Emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and safety-related electrical installations must be certified to UAE Civil Defence standards and kept in continuous operational condition throughout the year.
Employer Duty of Care
UAE OSH law requires employers to ensure all electrical equipment and installations in the workplace are maintained in a safe condition and inspected at appropriate intervals by competent persons.
